Honeybee’s Orbital Retrieval Unit (ORU) End Effector was designed to provide a secure interface for the on-orbit manipulation and installation of ORU’s. The connector provides a mechanical and electrical interface between robot and ORU, as well as between ORU and platform. The system provides for a make-before-break connection between the ORU and platform, ensuring against premature release from the robotic arm.
