Honeybee provided engineering support including analysis, design, and fabrication of a first-generation prototype magnetostrictive rotary actuator for The Goddard Space Flight Center. The motor, capable of generating up to 10 ft-lb of torque, offers bi-directional continuous or pulsed rotation.

Honeybee also worked with the Office of Naval Research on magnetostrictive actuator development. This contract was performed under a Dual Use Science and Technology award.
