Honeybee Robotics designs, develops, and supplies automated mechanisms for industrial, defense, and aerospace applications. Our products include solar array drives and deployment devices, automated drills and sampling systems, spacecraft mechanisms, and custom electromechanical subsystems for spaceflight. We’ve completed over 90 projects for NASA, plus numerous others for clients as diverse as the Department of Defense and Con Edison.

RAT— Rock Abrasion Tool

Shown to the right on the instrument arm of the Mars Rover, the RAT was designed, developed, and operated by Honeybee Robotics; it figures prominently in the Mars Exploration Mission, where it is used to explore the Gusev Crater and the Meridiani Planum.
